Well, I have no idea why, but the labels on the pictures are not posting correctly. Couldn't possibly be pilot error! HA HA
Below we have the Heart of Florida transcriptionist scarecrow, complete with glowing eyes! I only hope she scares away all of those bad dictators.
Below that we have Tina Whitecotton, RMT, FAAMT.
Below that picture is Susan Frazier, CMT, Heart of Florida President.

Heart of Florida symposium is a success!
The first Heart of Florida chapter symposium was a great success! The speakers were excellent. Dr. Mark Bandyk spoke about the da Vinci robotic prostatectomy. Julie Collins, RN, spoke about anesthesia and the PACU. Tom LoCiero, CPA, spoke about Recordkeeping for the MT - Employee vs Independent Contractor. As a very special guest, Tina Whitecotton of the AHDI Board of Directors spoke about The Internet, the MT's Playground.
The Heart of Florida Board of directors did a wonderful job of organizing the symposium. Stedmans books were for sale. There was a 50/50 raffle won by Tina Whitecotton, who ironically pulled her own number! The chapter had donated a flat screen monitor as a raffle gift and everyone wanted that!
Again, we would all like to thank all of our speakers. Tina Whitecotton traveled from Tucson, AZ for the event. We are especially grateful to Tina for coming as she is finishing her last year as a director. She has been a director through three very busy years for our association.
The members of the Heart of Florida Chapter (including me) are extremely grateful to the BOD and Donna for their hard work in the planning and organization of this meeting. We members are looking forward to next year!
